Star Sailor Energy Vertical Wind Turbines
Star Sailor Energy’s vertical axis wind turbines (VAWT) are more specifically Vertical Wind Power Systems. They are completely modular and designed to be expanded or integrated according to specific user requirements. These are the first purpose-engineered systems for information networks, telecommunications, aerospace and defense power, telemetry and highly innovative community and commercial power.
Unlike horizontal or propeller wind turbines Star Sailor Energy Vertical Wind Power Systems are safe for natural flyways and military flyways. No other wind turbine can provide the amount of power for the area at airports, seaports and other high-density operations areas.
Deployed in stacks up to twelve units currently products offer community and commercial power of 8.4kW to 16.kW. Assembled on site, nearly 300kW of generating capacity may be transported on a conventional flat bed semi-trailer. 30kW and 140kW towers are in development and will be introduced in 2012.
Unlike horizontal or propeller wind turbines, Star Sailor Energy’s Vertical Wind Power Systems are quiet, bird and bat safe and may be deployed on existing buildings and roadway structures.

In 2007 Star Sailor Energy, Inc. began the challenge of designing a performance adaptive, reduced drag vertical axis wind turbine (VAWT). Partnering with leading aerodynamicists Star Sailor Energy’s innovative effort has led to the first VAWT that offers greater power densities for the area used over any other VAWT. Star Sailor Energy Vertical Wind Power Systems have been field proven at winds in excess of 107 mph and in the worst weather conditions including ice, snow, wind blown debris and hurricane winds. The robust performance adaptive units operated flawlessly and are now being evaluated for battlefield environments.
